The Curriculum

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THE CURRICULUM

You can follow what your girl is doing at Girls on the Run each week, using the outline below.  Because of days that school is not in session, we sometimes combine two lessons to catch up.  At the Family Reception, held early in the season at the time you pick up your girl, you will receive a free copy of  The Grown Up Guide. This booklet includes questions you can ask to start a conversation about each lesson.  It also contains a training program to prepare someone in your family to participate in the 5K Fun Run with your girl.

Your daughter’s coaches will appreciate hearing from you about how your girl is responding to Girls on the Run.  Don’t expect changed behavior overnight. Do look for and praise and openly appreciate the positive behaviors you do see.  Family members will have the opportunity to complete a Parent Survey during the last week.
